Complaint Status

Check on the status of my complaint:

If you have formally submitted a written complaint with the Physical Therapy Board of California (PTBC), you may inquire on the status of your complaint by:

  1. Emailing the Consumer Protection Service (CPS) Unit: cps@dca.ca.gov
  2. Fax the CPS Unit at: (916) 263-2560
  3. Contact the CPS Unit at: (916) 561-8200 Ext. 8213 or (800) 832-2251
  4. Write to the CPS Unit at:

Please allow staff two weeks to respond to your inquiry. To assist staff in locating your case file, please include the following information with your inquiry:

  1. Your full name
  2. If possible, the case number (The case number is located on the complaint acknowledgement letter that was mailed to you by the CPS Unit.)
  3. Full name of the person you filed your complaint against
  4. Identify specific questions you have regarding your complaint, if any
